Stables built for the horses first
Thembelani means “have hope”. We chose it because that is what horses have given us, and it is what we want to pass on. A nervous rider can learn to sit tall. A shy child can find a friend in a horse. Someone carrying a heavy season can breathe for an hour in a stable.
The yard is at 114 Hilton Road in Linbro Park. We run a disciplined yard, teach small lessons and make space for people who need the kind of hope only a horse can give.

Brick keeps the stables cool in summer and warm in winter. Every box has space, light and fresh air.
Outrides
Out on the trails
Rides leave the yard and head out into open veld and quiet dirt roads. There is a stream on the route, and most mornings you will see duiker in the long grass before they see you.
Outrides are walked and trotted at a pace that suits the group, so first-timers are welcome. Longer rides and team building groups can be arranged on request.
