School horses for lessons and outrides, plus privately owned horses on livery.
How we keep the horses
The horses are the centre of the yard. We run a disciplined routine so they stay calm, healthy, and ready to work with riders of all levels.
Stables
Brick-built stables with good airflow and shade. Each horse has its own space, with a clean feed bin and fresh water checked daily.
Daily routine
Horses are brought in, fed, and checked each morning. The yard is cleaned, tack is inspected, and every horse is handled before lessons begin.
Bedding
Stables are mucked out and re-bedded as needed. We use absorbent bedding that keeps the horses dry and comfortable overnight.
Feeding
Feed is matched to workload. School horses and liveries get different rations, and we adjust for body condition, energy levels, and the season.
Turnout
Horses spend time in paddocks and grazing camps when the weather allows. They get to move, graze, and socialise, which keeps them quieter and happier under saddle.
