About the yard

A working equestrian yard at 114 Hilton Road, Linbro Park, where horses are well cared for and visitors are made welcome.

What Thembelani means

Thembelani is a Nguni name from the verb themba, meaning to hope or trust. Said to someone, it means “have hope”.

It suits the yard. Horses need patience, riders need patience, and no one here is rushed.

How we run things

It is a working yard, not a showpiece. Someone is here every day, the stables are mucked out each morning, and the horses are fed, checked and turned out on a proper routine.

Lessons are kept small so riders receive real attention. If you keep your horse with us, you will deal with the same people every time, and we will call you if anything changes.

You do not need your own gear or any experience to start. Wear long pants and closed shoes; we provide the rest.

Who you will meet

The yard is run by a small team: Adam, Jerimiah, Tiana and Levi. There is someone here every day, lessons are kept small, and you will deal with the same people each time you visit.
